I just lost a posting that's taken me several hours to construct.  There are times when I -really- hate Vox.  In spite of having saved most of the text to WordPad in the event that this happened (and it has before, too many times), I've still managed to lose a significant chunk of what I'd written about the pics, and all of the pics that I had embedded along the way.

It's 2am now, and I'm just too tired to reconstruct.  I'll come back again tomorrow and repost this when I'm less frustrated.

I did manage to upload a number of pics, and I'll come back with the explanations and links to some of the filters I used.

vox has come a long way since I last spent much time here, but I have to say I still just very much prefer livejournal, despite where it lacks. they put in this auto-save-as-draft feature a while back that has been a LIFESAVER for me on many occasions. still, i love the music and photo embeds in vox.. maybe with a little luck, sixapart will combine everything i love about both sites and i will happily move my 5000 entries into their little frankenstein.

ps- i love my new victrola, thank you so much. i've been lusting after cottenteil's one near your fountain/standing stone for such a very long time. i was tickled to see it. :)
