Re-imagination ...

the most annoying thing to me about all instruments in SL is that latency between the clips of music. to date, i have rarely heard anything play how it's supposed to, due to lag and my dinosaur computer. i think that's why i love robbie dingo's hyper flute and cello so much - they allow you to force pre-load the sound of each note on anyone nearby (takes about 2 minutes) and then, when you play live via the HUD, it doesn't skip. it's really phenomenal.

your songs are beautiful, but they skip when i try to play them. have you ever thought about setting them up as mp3s instead of embedded wav files? in other words, use the piano as a jukebox/radio? i've seen little ipod devices now that let you play songs wherever you are and don't depend on the stream. (actually, i HAVE one and haven't had a chance to play with it yet.) it'd be lovely to simply turn on piano music, though, a downside would be that the titles of the compositions wouldn't be visible any longer. (I guess you could add those into the stream, though... magnatune.com does this on their SL plot and it works pretty well.)

i'm curious about all things related to this because splice will eventually open a plot in SL. i have a lot of ideas to this end.
